Tattum's
Restaurant & Gourmet Market
Reno
Restaurant Review
Tattum's is a restaurant, gourmet market, and
gourmet delicatessen in South Reno. It's a great "Napa
style" place to get upscale sandwiches, salads, soups, and
take-out dinners. The restaurant is attached to a gourmet
market similar to the foods available at upscale markets such as
William's Sonoma.
We dined at Tattum's during September 2004, and
found it to be a relaxing place for a leisurely lunch. It's
not the place for people in a hurry or on a budget, as our two
sandwiches took about 25 minutes to arrive and were a total bill
of approximately $20 with two ice teas. The sandwiches (one
chicken, one ham) were delicious and uniquely prepared with
quality ingredients and breads.
There is limited seating available, and most of
the tables are "high type" tables. The service was friendly
and cordial and there were many diners relaxing and enjoying a
sandwich or salad. Tattum's also serves beer and wine and
has an extensive wine market. We recommend Tattum's for a
leisurely lunch with a California feel in Reno. It's also a
great place for takeout dinners (limited selection) for those not
on a budget.
Tattum's is a similar offering to two other Reno
upscale restaurant / markets that we recommend:
-
Napa / Sonoma Grocery - Central Reno via
Virginia @ 294 East Moana 775-826-0595.
-
Wine & Cheese Board - Downtown Reno "Law
District" - 247 California Avenue near Virginia and also a cafe at
the Nevada
Museum of Art.
