BrewHouse
Pub & Grill
Reno
Restaurant Review
One of the busiest intersections in Reno and Northern Nevada is
Kietzke @ McCarran. Surrounded by legions of big box retail
stores and WalMart, cars pour through this intersection night and
day. The corner has been host to 3 restaurants at this
location in the past five years. The latest contender - may
be the best ready to take on the competition. The Brewhouse
Pub & Grill is owned and operated by Cal-Neva casino, so its got a
few video poker machines. What restaurant in Reno doesn't?
But more importantly-- its got great service, reasonable prices,
and good food.
The BrewHouse is a fun place for a casual dinner--
meeting friends -- or a few drinks. It is also one of the
best WiFi wireless internet hotspots in Reno. The network
works-- consistently -- and is free. We highly recommend the
BrewHouse for use of its wireless network (of course while buying
food and drink!). The menu is casual American, and the drink
prices are very reasonable.
While the BrewHouse isn't a unique place, or an
amazing place-- it is a consistently good place for food, drink,
and fun. At our last visit, the Reno Brewhouse had
commandeered their parking lot for a free concert by the Saddle
Tramps - a popular and fun Reno rock band. There's not
always a concert at the BrewHouse, but you can be guaranteed great
food, at good prices, in a fun atmosphere.
If we could recommend one thing about the
BrewHouse for Reno visitors - we'd say it is very similar to the
restaurants in some of the larger casinos. The difference is
- much shorter waits-- better food - and much better service.
Try a drive in your car-- it may be worth it!
