Reno's Best 3 Chinese Buffets
Ichiban - Food IS entertainment at
Harrah's Reno (previous home of "Planet Hollywood"). Just
like Benihana, chefs prepare your food with flare right at your
table. A wide drink and wine menu, plus many items
included with your meal make this a really fun and filling
experience. Full meals prepared for groups tableside range
from $35-$45 per person and include at minimum -- filet mignon
steak, chicken, rice, miso soup, shrimp appetizer, and shrimp
entree. You can add fried rice for around $4 to any
meal (they push the fried rice hard). We thought our chef
was great - entertaining and fun throwing food and making jokes.
We recommend Ichiban, but plan on a ticket around $50 per person.
Reservations highly recommended.

Great, cheap Thai food - fast gaining
popularity in Reno. This new entrant to the "Thai Wars" has
become a growing choice for Reno dining.

Cafe de Thai
Upscale Thai cuisine for the suburban and
business crowd. A unique decor featuring a peaceful
waterfall makes this a romantic choice. Highly recommended
for upmarket Thai dining.

Bangkok Cuisine
The recognized leader in Reno casual Thai food
located about 1 mile south of the downtown Reno hotels.
Consistently very busy for a reason! Highly
recommended for the most authentic Thai experience in Reno.

Rickshaw Paddy's
If you are looking for a quiet place to have a
nice conversation , Rickshaw Paddy's is the place to go. Rickshaw
Paddy's offers a wide variety of food from different Asian
countries. They also have your basic Chinese food like beef with
broccoli. During my visit, we sampled their Orange Blossom Beef,
Combination Fried Rice, Honey Lemon Chicken, Asparagus with Beef
in black bean sauce, and beef with broccoli. The Orange Blossom
Beef had a nice citrus flavor and the beef was a little crunchy
which is the way it's supposed to be served. All of the food we
ordered were tasty. We also ordered their fried bananas with mango
sorbet which was excellent. The sorbet was nice and thick and
really tasted of mango, while the banana was nice and crisp. I
would recommend Rickshaw Paddy's for lunch and dinner.
